Another great dance has gone by... and we want to say THANK YOU to all 150 attendees!   Ben and Melina's fabulous  intermediate WCS workshop was attended by 60+ and Helen Tocco's Djing was top notch!

Our NEXT DANCE PARTY will be on FEBRUARY 27TH, 2010, at the REGENCY BALLROOM in LOMITA, CA.  Martin Parker will be teaching our 7:00 intermediate workshop, Helen Tocco our beginning class, and DJDK David Koppelman will return with his great music.

The remainder of 2010 will bring us more top notch WCS instructors (see our calendar) such as Trish Connery, Mike Eads, Luis Crespo, Mary Ann Nunez, Lisa Fay, Tom & Sossy Hyatt, Patti Jobst, and Jay Byam!  Let's continue to bring out our new friends to learn beginning WCS - we'll always have our beginning class as well as intermediate.  Remember when you were first learning, and how fantastic it was when you finally could dance the dance without counting your steps?  Pay it forward, and share the joy!

“ ... The skill of a DJ is not simply in having good songs, but in knowing how and when to play them.  Reading a crowd; balancing different speeds and styles, old and new songs; making sure everyone goes home having heard at least some of what they love; making a party "happen"- THIS is what a DJ does.  Otherwise, as Kenny (Wetzel) might have said (more colorfully), why hire a DJ at all instead of just having a juke box?”     ....DJDK
