Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated summer with us at our June dance!  It was, as always, a blast.

Please mark your calendars for the 5th Saturday, July 31st, as our next Regency dance in Lomita.  We have some special performances planned and other surprises in the works.  I do hope you'll join us!!!  (Details below).

The remainder of 2010 will bring us more top notch WCS instructors (see our calendar) such as Lisa Fay, Sharlot Bott, Mark Scheiffle, Pete Green, and Jay Byam!  Let's continue to bring out our new friends to learn beginning WCS - we'll always have our beginning class as well as intermediate.  Remember when you were first learning, and how fantastic it was when you finally could dance the dance without counting your steps?  Pay it forward, and share the joy!

“ ... The skill of a DJ is not simply in having good songs, but in knowing how and when to play them.  Reading a crowd; balancing different speeds and styles, old and new songs; making sure everyone goes home having heard at least some of what they love; making a party "happen"- THIS is what a DJ does.  Otherwise, as Kenny (Wetzel) might have said (more colorfully), why hire a DJ at all instead of just having a juke box?”     ....DJDK
