David Koppelman was born in New York City and raised in San Diego.  He is a graduate of UCLA and Southwestern University School of Law.

David is a classically trained violinist who has been deejaying for West Coast Swing, Hustle, and Country/Western dancers since 1998. David has served as a competition and/or social dance deejay for nationally recognized dance events such as the Phoenix Fourth of July Convention, Dallas D.A.N.C.E., Monterey Swingfest, Halloween Swingthing, Jack and Jill O'Rama, New Years Dance Camp and Summer Dance Camp in Palm Springs, CA, Desert City Swing in Phoenix, AZ, and Reno Dance Sensation. In his home base of Southern California. David prides himself on his ability to "read" a crowd and make a dance party happen!
